This is the Pluck's Flag Football Team from 1960-1962 era. They were 9-1 for the season and each received a Trophy plus one for the ship. Ski is third from left in front row. Good going guy's!!!

Roger (Ski) also played for the MinPac football team. Thats him kneeling in front row, third from left. He say's they were a great bunch of guy's.

Below is shown the fuel cell that was carried on the fantail during the transits to and from WestPac. The first trip in 1956 didn't have this so we had to refuel enroute where ever we could. 

The "Blob"

Below is the remains of a jet that the Pluck found and retrieved off the coast of Montrey. The pilot had ejected safely but looks like the jet didn't fair so well. They were trying to determine if the pilot had tried to switch to his reserve fuel tanks and found that he had.
